Subscribe to our channel: School: Ishiguro Ryū Jūjutsu Event: Meiji Jingu Kobudo Demonstration 2018 Date: 03/11/2018 Venue: Meiji Jingu, Nishisando Shibachi Representative: Tamura Koji -- PRESENTATION: ISHIGURO RYŪ JŪJUTSU -- The founder of that school, Ishiguro Kansai, was an inhabitant of Togawa-ura in Choshi City (present Chiba Prefecture) at the end of the Edo period and the beginning of the Meiji era. He was teaching his techniques to the neighbouring people, but his life is rather unknown. Ishiguro Ryū, which is originally Tenshin Shinyō Ryū, is strongly influenced by techniques from Yōshin Ryū and Shin-no-Shintō Ryū, with the addition of techniques developed by the founder himself. The techniques transmitted by that school are numerous, but at the present, training focuses mostly on Jūjutsu, Kenjutsu, Iai, Bōjutsu, Shuriken, Bachi (a kind of pick) and Nawa-jutsu (rope techniques). --- CREDITS --- Footage by Seido Co., Ltd. h
