Siyyon Desh - Hindi Worship Song | Wilson George | Revival Music (Official Music Video) Check out our latest release “ISSE PEHLE“: The story behind the writing of Siyyon Desh by Sheela George: I had the privilege to hear this song in 1979, when Pastor Wilson George & team was invited for ministry to Udaipur, Rajasthan by Dr. Thomas Mathews. I, a sixteen year old girl then, was greatly blessed! Let me narrate the story behind the writing of this blessed song, as told to me by the author, who happens to be my husband, Wilson George. In 1978, as a young 20 year old, Wilson was exhilarated when Pastor (Lt) P. S. Samuel (a pioneer missionary to Chhattisgarh, and the founder of Ebenezer Bible school and The Church of God, Raipur) invited him to Kerala for ministry. He was going to Kerala, the birth place of his parents, after 15 long years. During that travel from North to South India, with a heart full of joy and excitement, he began contemplating on the blessed hope we have in Christ Jesus. If going to his motherland could spur so much excitement how much more joyous to be in the ‘Fatherland’ with our Lord, he wondered. And what greater joy it would be to see Him and be with Him in eternity. What a glorious hope and beautiful promise - Jesus said, “the one who believes in me will live, even though they die” (John 11:25); “I go to prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” The Chorus of the song, “Siyyon Desh hamaara hai desh, rahte hain hum pardesh, Hallelujah, Hallelujah,“ was birthed in that journey. After coming back to Raipur, in the month of July the Bible School students were given the work of painting the walls and doors of the Church hall, in preparation before the upcoming Annual convention. Standing on the ladder, doing the given task of painting, God gave him the remaining words & music of this song. He quickly climbed down, rushed to his room and wrote down the words of all the three Stanzas. And this beautiful song was finally completed nearly after 4 months on July 8, 1978 during the weekend fasting which was a regular practice of the Raipur Church. We praise God that the song has been blessing millions since then. This song was recorded in our 1st album ‘Anant Asha’ in 1986. It’s my prayer that, “Now May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13 “But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await the Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 3:20) - Sheela George ---------------------------------------------------------------- Available On: Spotify: Apple: Google: Amazon: Credits: Lyrics, Music & Vocals: Pastor Wilson George Music Programming: Shyam Mac Mixing & Mastering: Nikhil Kakkochan (Freddy’s AVG, Cochin) Director of Photography: Pramod Veguru, Bridegroom’s Friend () Video Editing: Daniel George Media Partner: D3HUB Technologies () Flute: Nikhil Ram Tabla: Santhosh Lead Guitar: Shikku Dan Jacob Strings Session: Francis Xavier & Group ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Lyrics: सिय्योन देश (Siyyon Desh) Lyrics & Music- Pastor Wilson George (Written on July 8, 1978) Siyyon desh hamaara hai desh Rahte hain hum pardesh Jayenge hum apne desh Chorus: Hallelujah, hallelujah… Verse 1.
