《始见千秋》Engsub (忘川风华录) Qin Shi Huang’s Song

Original: This song is about Qin Shi Huang, China’s first emperor, the one who united China after the Warring States Period, and the creator of the Great Wall. The song is one of the many songs from the Chinese online game Dream and Lethe Record. Dream and Lethe Record is an online Chinese game where players are immersed in a fictional universe where all characters are historical figures of ancient China. In an effort to advertise the game, they have released multiple amazingly written songs about many game characters. Since all game characters are historical figures, these songs, in essence, become songs about real historical figures’ lives and accomplishments, which is a great draw for history lovers as well as Chinese who are proud of their history. This song is one of my favorites, since it’s about one of the most important rulers in Chinese history. The lyric is a mixture of Classical and modern Chinese, so it’s extremely hard to translate, so please go soft on me if there are any mistakes...
