Meet Tatsuya Takahashi - KORG’s Star Synth Designer

Tatsuya Takahashi has developed some of the funnest and most iconic synthesizers and drum machines available today: the Minilogue, Monologue, Monotrons, the first rounds of Volca, Triggers and the Granular Convolver. The CEO of KORG Germany is one of the the industry’s most ingenious instrument designers, with a true passion for synths and electronics since very young age. A group of Catalyst film and music students and alumni had the opportunity to collaborate with Tatsuya Takahashi on his Most Wanted: Music video presentation: The Powers of Ten. In the conference’s presentation he took us through his design journey, talking us through some of his design and project highlights.
