Italy Capitulation (1943)

Full title reads: “ITALY: CAPITULATION“. Various. Italian dictator Benito Mussolini (Il Duce) on balcony at the time of Italy’s entry into the war, he raises his arm to the huge crowd below. Brief shot of Mussolini reviewing his air force. Various shots of Britain’s Prime Minister Mr Winston Churchill wearing white suit, he waves to crowds from open car as he is driven through the streets of Quebec. Prime Minister of Canada Mr MacKenzie King is in the car with him. Masses of people gathered in front of the Parliament building in Ottawa. American President Franklin Delano Roosevelt on dais outside the building addressing the crowd. He starts with words: “Mr King, my old friend...“. He then talks about the relationship between Canada and USA, and their combined efforts to rid the world of gangsterism.
