The Talyllyn Railway ~ The World’s First Preserved Railway ~ 29/07/2017 2017

My final upload from my wonderful North Wales Holiday is a journey along the World’s First preserved Railway (1951)...The Talyllyn Narrow Gauge Railway in North Wales. This line is probably known best for the inspiration for Rev W Audry the author of the World Famous ’Thomas The Tank’ Books. We start at the Railway’s lower terminus at Tywyn Wharf, where we see 1921 built Kerr Stuart ’Peter Sam’ shunting the stock for our 7 1/4 mile run up the line behind 1991 built by the Talyllyn Railway, ’Tom Rolt’ the line’s newest and most powerful locomotive.
