Homemade SpaceX StarHopper Test Flight

The Starhopper was a single-stage spacecraft that stood around 9 meters tall and was powered by one Raptor engine. It was also made from stainless steel and was designed to be fully reusable. The spacecraft conducted several test flights at SpaceX’s Boca Chica facility in Texas, with its first successful test flight occurring in July 2019. Like the Starship hopper, the Starhopper was also used to test the technology needed for the larger Starship spacecraft, but it was more focused on demonstrating the control and stability of the vehicle during test flights. It was eventually retired in August 2019 after successfully completing its test flights and serving its purpose as a testbed for the Starship program. See Full Video ➜ #shorts
