SYND 16 3 78 WORK FINISHES ON JAPANESE MODEL PYRAMID NEXT TO CHEOPS

(15 Mar 1978) Workers on the Japanese built model Pyramid adding the final touches, trimming the stonework and hauling and placing the cap stone. The 65-foot high construction is four miles away from the giant Cheops Pyramid on which it was modelled. The cap stone was put in place on Wednesday. The project is the brainchild of Sakuji Yoshimura, a fellow of Tokyo’s Waseda University, who had been doing archeological research at Luxor for 12 years.
