Young Frankenstein’s Organ: Tiny keyboards, spinning speakers, and the Koma Elektronik field kit

The Hing Hon ek-001 toy keyboard and Yamaha PS-3 keyboard are connected to Channels 1 and 3 of the field kit. The PS-3 is being played through the aux input of a Korg Monotron Duo. There is a contact microphone plugged into channel 2 of the field kit. The contact microphone is placed under the recording half of a DIY cassette tape delay (doesn’t matter which half you use I just like the sound of the recorder’s motor better than the playback unit’s motor). The DIY cassette tape delay has a cheap Philips microphone plugged into the mic input of the recorder. The cheap microphone is placed in front of playback sound system’s speaker. The speaker output of the Koma field kit is connected to the 8 ohm Yamaha rotating speaker. The master output of the field kit and the output of the DIY cassette tape delay are connected to a Peavey unity 1000 mixer feeding a monobloc tube amp and a 15“ speaker (playback sound system). How did I come to acquire young Dr. Frankenstein’s organ? I met him a long time ago at a swap meet in Geneva and traded him a Tesla coil for it. Don’t ask me what he needed a Tesla coil for.
