Jesse Cook | Rain (Rumba Flamenco Music)

This week I reinterpreted the music for “Rain“, a rumba flamenco ditty from my Frontiers album (2007). Sometimes I wish I had the clarity of hindsight when I originally recorded these songs. I probably would have kept the arrangement simpler. When frontiers came out there were a large number of CDs returned because people complained there was a “problem“ with the sound. On the original version I had included an old scratchy record sound under the intro. It only last for a few seconds, but that was long enough to upset some people. I had hoped it would invoke a feeling of nostalgia for those of us old enough to have grown up with LPs. Now people can choose with or without, as this version is “record scratch free“.
