A head-canon or alternate universe, if you wish; a time long after Princess Twilight has been crowned the ruler of Equestria when Princess Celestia and Luna had retired, Twilight was now responsible along with her best friends to take care of the sacred land. Yet as time when on and her appearance never changed compared to everyone else, is it possibly that other then being a Princess and an Alicorn; maybe she was more different then she original suspected. Immortality made her stand out among any-pony else. And with immortality, comes great happiness and greater consciences... Twilight Sparkle, after a peaceful yet grieve filled 222 years on the throne; the trauma, pain, grief, and anger that built itself from her family and friends passing away around her manifested itself into an altered being of a darker, deeper attire. . Everlight Everlasting. . Princess Everlight is the figuration of all of Twilight’s grief and desires, and the one that’ll assist Twilight in gaining what she wishes most to rid herself of any more grief. Immortality for all. Twilight/Everlight could not found an existing spell or enchantment of pure immortality after decades of previous research and personal experience. So the best solution was reversing the decrease alteration of age itself. Her goal become set into motion after discovering and developing the greatest volumes of research and knowledge of everything in all of pony kind. If she were to create such a powerful, conflicted spell that does not exist yet, she needed some help. And help could only be found in the most knowledgeable places in Equestria and the assistance of a particular wizard whose intentions did not match hers... .
