15-year-old Bobby Fischer defeats Argentine Chess Champion

Featured is the game between Argentine Chess Champion Raúl Sanguineti and 15-year-old Bobby Fischer from the 1958 Portoroz Interzonal. In response to Sanguineti’s 4th rank pawn duo, Fischer coordinates his pieces to not only reinforce his kingside, but also cover his most sensitive square d5. After cycling through this 25-move game a few times, something grabbed my attention. What does Sanguineti do on more than one occasion that Fischer does not do through the first 20 moves? I’m a self-taught National Master in chess out of Pennsylvania, USA who was introduced to the game by my father in 1988 at the age of 8. The purpose of this channel is to share my knowledge of chess to help others improve their game. I enjoy continuing to improve my understanding of this great game, albeit slowly.
