4K Grossglockner High Alpine Road (Großglockner Hochalpenstraße) | Ferleiten to Heiligenblut

Grossglockner (Großglockner) is the highest mountain in Austria. (3,798 m / 12,461 ft). The Grossglockner High Alpine Road connects 2 villages between Hochtor Pass (2,504 m / 8,215 ft) near Grossglockner. The drive starts at the toll gate in Ferleiten in the morning, located north of Hochtor Pass, heads to Edelweissspitze (observatory for the Grossglockner) and Hochtor Pass, then down to Heiligenblut. The scene from Fuschertörl parking to Edelweissspitze was filmed when I returned from Heiligenblut, as clouds covered the top on the first visit. The toll is 40 Euro, a bit expensive, but definitely worth it. (I purchased a 70 Euro 3-week pass) The drive in the opposite direction with a clear sky will be posted sometime later.
