Molecules in VR: Investigating Cyclin-Dependent Kinase Selectivity
In this video, we evaluate differentiating non-selective and selective strategies targeting checkpoint cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs). CDKs act as cell cycle checkpoint proteins regulating the progression from phase to phase impacting several pathways key to cancer development. Specific CDK inhibition can allow for targeted therapeutic strategies as well as further personalization of therapeutic approaches in cancer. We accomplish this through use of Nanome’s AutoDock Smina, RMSD, and Chemical Interactions plugins to describe the specificity of inhibition by different molecules.
Nanome is the leader in collaborative structure-based design through virtual reality. Explore the nanoscale like never before and experience a more intuitive way to interact with small molecules and/or protein structures through the latest in visualization technology. Nanome enables global real-time collaboration and we’re working closely with some of the top pharmaceutical research facilities and academic research institutions.
