Steve Jobs NeXT Cube with Dimension Board Demo 1991 rerecorded Rob Blessin Black Hole Inc 2024 #1

Hello NeXT Community: Recommend today’s take 2 using OBS tools , I’m learning it corrects the aspect ratio, Uploading corrected Video Take 3 now hopefully audio echo fixed, I’m over coming a learning curve. Hopefully 3rd time is the charm here please feel free to comment with positive cool NeXT Stories . Any help , advice or even criticism is appreciated as I’m endeavoring to improve my skills at making videos with your help to make it happen. As youtube is a fun place to check out amazing stuff, I’ll also take a gander at your youtube page if you like :) My efforts to make better videos just took a huge leap IMHO. Shout out to Jason for the how to hook it up. Please let me know what you all think about my 1st transfer of a VCR Tape from NeXT to my Mac Mini M2 Pro using Quick time . Steve Jobs demos the NeXT Cube with Dimension board in this detailed NeXT video using NeXTSTEP 2.0 , ( My guess is 2.1 as I have separate Dimension board floppies for 2.1) I’m excited and my efforts will only improve, this is my first video using this technique as I’m reinvesting my profit back into Black Hole and the NeXT community . I think I will be able to continue to improve on documenting the legacy of NeXT and it is a lot of fun! I also will be using original NeXT hardware for many of the videos , Rome wasn’t built in a day. I appreciate your support and hope you like the video and feel free to subscribe please. Please note this is 30 plus year old tapes with a 25 year old VCR I picked up at the thrift store lol but it is a nice one a JVC Super VHS ET for $10 . I’m going to procure a Tape Head cleaner and I know I have some higher end connection RCA and S Video cables this is the first video. Update I ordered Monster RCA Cables and an S Video Monster cable on recommendation from Gilles at MIT , he said the cable I bought for $20 RCA and $40 S Video New old stock we’re ~ $300 back in the day . Also I think they may have been recorded in 640 by 480 as that was the highest quality of equipment available in 1991 , I’m experimenting with 1080P. As noted in the comments it looks like it stretches the aspect ration of the image to wide 16: 9 verse 5:4 You haven’t seen nothing yet ha . Many of these Videos are directly from X NeXTies like Rich Page VP of hardware engineering Steve Jobs mentions in the video . Stay Tuned more Fun Stuff coming from Black Hole ! Best regards Rob Blessin
