Owen Crippa - The Man Who Attacked The British Fleet All Alone (In a Trainer Jet)

As the British Amphibious Task Group entered San Carlos Water in the Falklands on 21 May 1982, the Argentine High Command initially thought it was a diversion. They sent some aircraft to investigate. One of them was an MB-339, a light trainer/attack aircraft flown by Teniente de Navio Owen Crippa. He first spotted a Lynx helicopter and was about to attack it but then, he saw the entire British landing force in a small bay. He took the aggressive approach and attacked all alone in an aircraft never meant for such a task.
