Alex Szilasi plays Chopin Nocturnes on Pleyel upright piano (1847).
The piano built in 1847, was one of about thirty such instrument made in Pleyel’s manufacture in that period. Built in style of Lous XV, with trichord choirs and two pedals, it has an over- damped action by Pleyel. All the parts are original and perfectly preserved. The strings were exchagned in 1897 by Albert Ferney, a retired Pleyel&Wolf piano tuner. The piano’s serial number is 13481.
