Just chillin’ on the couch, watching some West Wing. I decided there weren’t enough pet genet videos on youtube, so this is my contribution. Sorry if it’s boring/low quality, but you get to see a cool animal. More info and breeders: Quick Facts: *There are several different species of genets, but the most common are the Common/Small Spotted African Genet and the Large/Rusty Spotted African Genet. *They are NOT felines. They belong to the Viverridae family. *They are carnivores and have semi-retractible claws much like a cat. *They have civet glands that can be expressed and emit a foul odor. Usually happens when the genet is scared/stressed. *I’ve seen websites that say these guys get up to 8-10 lbs. Loki is a full grown large-spotted genet and weighs in at about 4 pounds. *Most pet genets eat a high-quality cat food. Loki also enjoys crickets and has a sweet tooth!
