Manglietia / Magnolia insignis flowering for the first time - Caerhays

Just a couple of weeks after the gardens at Caerhays closed to public for this year our 25 year old Magnolia insignis flowered for the first time. This evergreen tree is showing the most amazing pink flowers. This plant was originally classified as a Manglietia, however the whole group has been renamed as Magnolias.
