It’s opening distorted, wah-guitar chord progression mimics an un-lightened marching anticipation. Soon to reveal a reassuring chorus of accepting ones situation in dystopia. Furthermore, a continuation of Strid’s dynamic vociferous range is indefinite, while trading off between dark, fast, palm muted rhythms and melodic guitar phrases. With an unexpected drop in dynamics, the clean section is most dire and icy. Backed by ambient finger-picking, atmospheric keyboards, and Strid’s way of saying “Nothing lasts forever”.
