MIT’s Entrepreneurship Ecosystem

In this new documentary, Lawrence Gallagher and Chris Boebel present the loosely interconnected groups that form MIT’s “entrepreneurial ecosystem“. The Ecosystem: Nurturing Entrepreneurship at MIT looks at the role the Institute has played in job creation and the way it continues to maintain its global dominance in innovation. Edward Roberts, the founder and chairman of the MIT Entrepreneurship Center, discusses in the video the steps he has taken to safeguard MIT’s pivotal role in innovation-based entrepreneurship. To this end, MIT has established numerous resources for the budding entrepreneur. With the Entrepreneurship Center as a key piece, the “Entrepreneurial Ecosystem“ has been cultivated to aid and encourage startups. Through interviews with the founders of now-prominent companies, the documentary examines the ways in which the ecosystem has helped to nurture and refine businesses, guiding them from innovation through implementation.
