Wormrot - Behind Closed Doors & When Talking Fails, It’s Time For Violence | Snakeweed Sessions
Watch Wormrot perform ‘Behind Closed Doors’ and ‘When Talking Fails, It’s Time For Violence’.
Brace yourself for a juggernaut of the hardcore music industry.
There are few names that draw reverence like Wormrot, the grindcore radicals that helped put Singapore on the map. Formed in 2007, the beastly trio – currently comprising Arif Rot on vocals, Rasyid Juraimi on guitar, and Vijesh Ghariwala on drums – are known for their belligerent repertoire and incendiary performances. Their reputation has resonated through the globe with multiple tours in the US and Europe, and a career-defining Glastonbury booking that made them the first Singaporean act to play at the legendary festival. Wormrot are also slated to release their fourth album in July 2022; a long-awaited conquest that follows six years of personal roadblocks.
In this episode, Wormrot perform a rush of two songs, “Behind Closed Doors” and “When Talking Fails, It’s Time for Violence”. They deliver an aural onslaught of monstrous proportions; an overwhelming orchestration that consumes you before you can process the tsunami of stimuli. Behemoth beats strike with blistering speed and walloping intensity. Knife-edged guitars cut with piercing, threshing riffage. And fiendish vocals belt out growls and shrieks that could raise the army of the dead. Beneath the chaos lies a mastery of skill and technique, constructing complex rhythms and dynamics that display expert musicianship from the Wormrot triad. This is a band in stellar form. This performance is the proof you need.
“Behind Closed Doors” and “When Talking Fails” are from the new album ‘Hiss’, available July 8th, 2022. Pre-order now at
