Constellation Aries, the Ram. Canvas, acrylic, tempera. 92 x 73 cm. 2022 🐏🐏🐏 It is the second work in a series about Armenia and Georgia, which I’ve never visited. And the first painting in the series about the constellations. It is about the mystery that the cosmos keeps over our heads. Two worlds, high and low, heavenly and earthly. Their unity and opposition are expressed here in colour. The thick and dense red-brown colour of the earth, from which the silhouettes of the ancient stone churches rise. The brilliant veil of blue in which two constellations rise triumphantly as a pure revelation of the celestial mystery. ✨ Thanks to its shiny surface, the painting provokes different emotions depending on the lighting.
