Commentator tells us this is “a game, played annually at Jedburgh in Fastern’s ’Een Ba’ (or in English,, Candlemas Handball) has gruesome connections - it originated when after a battle the victorious Scots played football with the heads of their dead enemies.“ High angle shot as the crowd crush in a scrum for the ball; M/S of the scrum - there are some policemen standing by keeping an eye on things.
