Japan Lawmaker Defies Kishida Govt’s Policy, Visits Russia As Kremlin Slams Tokyo’s Sanctions

A Japanese lawmaker who has long championed close ties with Moscow has met with a senior Russian Foreign Ministry official. Muneo Suzuki of the opposition Japan Innovation Party, is on a trip that defied the Japanese govt’s advice against its nationals travelling to Russia. According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, Suzuki met with Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko.
