Dear Rasikas, Shyama Sastry’s Kamakshi Swarajathi was on my mind for quite some time to choreograph and make my students perform it. Finally I was blessed with the opportunity to try and interpret this soulful composition in dance and through the grace of Art, my effort and the hard work of Bhairavi Venkatesan Kameshweri Ganesan came together and it turned out to be a beautiful presentation. Kamakshi Swarajathi was performed by the duo on February 24, 2024 under the auspices of Sri Parthasarathy Swami Sabha.
