This means that this meteorite has been classified in a laboratory, submitted to the Meteoritical Bulletin and approved with a unique NWA number or name. You will find it in the database: The MC number is a temporary name I give to specimens prior to submitting them for classification. I film the specimens before cutting them to keep their appearance for the future.
