Secular music in late Medieval Germany (1450-1480)
The musical selections in this video were transcribed by hand in two German “songbooks“ or Liederbuch: the Lochamer () and the Glogauer (). Many of the compositions and artworks hail from Southern German masters in and around Bavaria. Many of the pieces from both collections were arranged for keyboard instruments, particularly the works by Conrad Paumann which appear as a set at the end of the Lochamer book.
