Symbiotic Spaces - multispecies habitat for urban wildlife

Symbiotic Spaces provide habitats to non-human species in urban enviroments whilst offering humans the chance to get to know their Other Neighbours. They present a place to search for new kinship, like Donna Haraway proposes in her book „Staying with the trouble“ and encourages to explore symbiotic relationships and the realities of more-than-human forms of life . 3D printed, ceramic modules, „growing“ from the water to the ground and into the air offer housing opportunities to a broad variety of species: water animals like amphibias, smaller mammals, wild insects, and birds. The form is inspired by slow observation of non-human architectures in the forest, natural algorithms translated for digital manufacturing and the viscocity of clay. 3D Clay-Printing in this case is the medium to reflect about the nature of technology, the use of materials and the question, which needs and perspectives should be involved in contemporary, technological output.
