VICTORIA’S SECRET’S new inclusive line
Victoria’s Secret, an American retailer specializing in lingerie, clothing, and beauty products, was established in 1977 by Roy and Gaye Raymond. In 1982, the company’s five initial lingerie stores were purchased by Leslie Wexner, who rapidly expanded the brand into American shopping malls. By the early 1990s, Victoria’s Secret had grown to encompass 350 stores nationwide, achieving sales of $1 billion and securing its position as the largest lingerie retailer in the United States.
From 1995 to 2018, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was a significant aspect of the brand’s identity, featuring an annual runway extravaganza that showcased models promoted as fantasy Angels.
