The Either/Orchestra recorded live performing “Eyeye“ at The Sanctuary for Independent Media in Troy NY on November 20, 2011. The program featured the premiere of bandleader Russ Gershon’s new suite “The Collected Unconscious,“ funded by a Jazz New Works grant from Chamber Music America. It’s a sprawling piece inspired by Ethiopian scales and rhythms, but ranging throughout the E/O’s musical universe of jazz and afro-caribbean music.
