Adelina Patti Sings “Home, Sweet Home“ 1905 (?)

The dates for Adelina Patti are almost unbelievable. She was born in 1843, nearly 170 years ago! She was for many years famous for having sung for President and Mrs. Lincoln in 1862, when she was 19 years if age. The song was “The last rose of summer,“ which can be found on Youtube. Here she is singing “Home sweet home,“ a recording I believe to have been made in 1905, but I am not certain. This is the kind of mini-bio that will become more common over time, obviously.
