Yarn Bombing | Yarn Bombing Los Angeles // 60 Second Docs

Longtime yarn bomber and fabric artist Julie Kornblum, a member of the Yarn Bombing Los Angeles collective, loves to make street art. Her medium of choice is yarn bombing -- aka yarn storming, guerilla knitting, kniffiti, urban knitting or graffiti knitting -- a type of street art that employs colorful displays of knitted or crocheted yarn instead of paint or chalk. Knitting and purling their work to trees, street signs and city poles, Kornblum and her fellow artists see it as both an act of rebellion, and a powerful statement of freedom.
