In 2023 I ended almost every concert with this little piece and I still can’t get enough from it. There are already a few videos on YouTube of me playing this piece, but no video on my own channel yet - to change things up a bit, I decided to record a steel string version on my new Fylde Guitar, which turned out to be a very good idea: the piece feels like it was made for this instrument. The origins of “The Lakes Of Pontchartrain“ are unknown, but it was most likely written in the South of the United States in the early 19th century.
