Among didgeridoo aficionados - especially those focussed on the classical musical styles of the Top End of Australia - Larry Gurruwiwi is credited as one of the finest and most powerful didgeridoo players on the planet. Since childhood, Larry ’Wuduku’ has literally lived and breathed yidaki and continues to be surrounded by it on a daily basis. His father is no other than the great Djalu Gurruwiwi - revered master and cult hero of the instrument. Larry has international touring experience as a member of Rripangu Yirdaki in addition to a growing domestic profile through Barra (West Wind) Band which he co-founded. Barra has performed on the Australian music festival scene for a couple of years and continues to go from strength to strength.
