xXx 4: Everything We Know So Far

Franchises with our main leading man seem like a slam dunk right now. After The Fast & The Furious, Fast Five, Fate of the Furious, F9, Guardians of the Galaxy, Bloodshot, Chronicles of Riddick, Pitch Black, The Last Witch Hunter, The Iron Giant and Saving Private Ryan made more money collectively than most nations have, you’d think the franchise with the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Nick Fury himself, Samuel L. Jackson as NSA Agent Augustus Gibbons recruiting secret agents like Ice Cube’s Darius Stone (or that guy from the first was his name again?) to save the world from evil plots. The fourth film in the franchise will be moving not as quickly as any of us would like. Unfortunately, while a superstar like the man otherwise known as Mark Sinclair should have no problem moving a movie franchise along, there are quite a few problems holding it back. The movie, like pretty much every other in Hollywood, has faced delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic keeping people out of theaters. Unlike other films though, this one has a significant amount of drama attached. No, unfortunately none from the Jungle Cruise, Black Adam, Hobbs & Shaw star Dwayne, “The Rock” Johnson having a feud with Diesel that held up the Fast & Furious franchise. This one is full of legal drama that would make for a great season of American Crime Story. Here’s to hoping the film manages to grab up Meryl Streep for the next entry just like the fans want when it gets back into gear. So when will ol’ Vinnie be jumping back into action?
