Malta Convoy Battle (1942)

Titles read: “MALTA CONVOY BATTLE“. Mediterranean Sea. Various shots of a large Malta convoy of cargo and escort ships in the Mediterranean. Stretcher cases from the sunken HMS Eagle are brought ashore at Malta Harbour. Other survivors queue for pay parade and smile at the camera after their ordeal. Lengthy sequence shows the battle of the convoy with guns going into action on the ship as the enemy planes come out of the skies. The battle goes on into dusk and when night comes the guns flashes can be seen. At the morning light, weary gun crews snatch rest where they can on the ships; several quick shots of sailors reading or sleeping in corners of the deck. Rear Admiral Burroughs comes aboard HMS Nelson for talks with Vice Admiral Syfret.
