Champs! Chimps Too! (1932)

Introductory intertitle reads: “Meet Sockem Sammy Green and Battling Billy Bush (handsomest of the two) in a new ring endeavour.“ M/S of a miniature boxing ring in the open air. Two men stand either side of the boxing ring and put two chimps in - they wear boxing gloves. The men shout encouragement at their respective monkeys and the two chimps sock it out. They wear miniature boxing vests. A bell is rung and the two are split up. C/U of one of the chimps sitting in the corner of the ring being given a drink from a bottle. They begin fighting again. One tries to climb out of the ring but his “coach“ pulls him back. One of the chimps gets a bit cross and a proper fight starts but the trainers break it up. The bell rings again and they go to the corners. C/U of one of the chimps having his head wet with a sponge. The trainer gives him a pep talk. “Be careful on that left of his“ etc. Fight continues.
