Padma Bhushan KS Chithra is a legendary Indian playback singer and Carnatic musician who has recorded over 25,000 songs in 14 Indian languages and over 5 foreign languages. Fondly referred to as the ’Nightingale of South India’ she is the first Indian woman who was honoured by the House of Commons, British Parliament in 2005 for her immense contribution to the field of music. She has had the opportunity to perform before Bhagawan on multiple occasions at Prasanthi Nilayam.
