Buddy Merrill is a fantastic guitarist and steel guitarist best known for his many years on the Lawrence Welk show. Few people know just HOW good he really was, and we are going to put a few clips on youtube to help set the record straight.
Here Buddy plays his custom steel guitar, an instrument that Buddy made in high school shop class using Fender steel guitar parts, but built to resemble Speedy West’s blonde maple Bigsby steel guitar. The plaque on the front says “Custom Made By Buddy Merrill.“ Play
