Dubkasm’s Echo Units - a Dubwise Tour

Live from the Dubkasm studio in Bristol: a tour of our favourite echo units with sound clips and a look at the features and individual quirks that make them dubwise. Chapter markers below: Strymon El Capistan (2011) - 1:31 Benidub Digital Echo (2016) - 4:39 Eventide H9 Max (2015) - 7:29 Electro Hamonix Deluxe Stereo Memory Man (2008) - 15:10 DMB Lunar Echo (2013) - 13:17 Source Audio Nemesis (2015) - 17:40 Line 6 DL4 (1999) - 20:00 Maestro Sireko (1970’s) - 23:24 We felt there was a big gap on YouTube for echo demos where the only sound source wasn’t electric guitar playing washed out ambient chords or rockabilly slapback, so Digistep ran some of our reggae chops, vocals, cello and horns through the units to save you having to imagine what they would sound like. We feature gear ranging from our 1970’s Sireko tape echo to cutting edge DSP-based units. The videos are not intended to be full product feature reviews and we have focused solely on what we love about each pedal in the context of dub reggae production. Film produced and edited by Joe Bainbridge @Cut2Media Thank you to Joe and our contributors at Benidub, Eventide and Source Audio.
