How to remove navigation main unit, CD-changer, SD card drive, infotainment headunit in #VAG cars (Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, Skoda). There are two ports that give access to locks. By using removal keys you can quickly unlock the device and pull it towards yourself. After that you have easy access to the quadlock connector as well as antenna connections.
💡 Accessing back of the device is necessary for fiber optic loop (MOST) diagnostics, for retrofits (USB port, AUX input, rear view camera, BT hands-free microphone, GPS antenna), and upgrades (example going from Composition Media MIB1 to Discover Pro MIB2).
💡 To #remove keys you can press on the side tabs to release pressure from them.
💡 To install the unit back in car simply push it back in its place until you hear that both sides clicked in place.
