Strepsiptera mating (Xenos peckii, Xenidae)

Xenos peckii (Strepsiptera) mating, (Aug 23 2014) on host paper wasp, Polistes fuscatus. This male mated 3x in less than 20 seconds! He will only live approx 4 hours as an adult; his only purpose in life being to locate the endoparasitic, neotenic, female that is embedded in her active host wasp.
