This is the product of the history-making Abraham Accords, from the Trump administration. This is what multi-polarity looks like. Once we get to the bottom of this, we’ll know how much Netanyahu was committed to it. If it turns out that his commitment was high enough, then our picture would become clearer. 1.) It would mean that much of what is happening now comes from Atlanticist power structures, and was not what the Netanyahu government wanted. 2.) OR it could very well be just part of the plan, since control over Gaza would help consolidate control over its off-shore gas fields. (That would make Saudi Arabia a silent complicit partner, along with Qatar and India, in the present crisis.) Because just as we saw this on the horizon, “Hamas“ launches its short-lived offensive against Israel. In response, Israel declared war on Hamas, initiating airstrikes on Gaza and cutting off food, water, and electricity to 2 million Palestinians. In turn, relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia soured immediately. The United States then deployed two carrier strike groups to the Mediterranean, and the Middle East stands at the precipice of war. Let’s put our heads together and do some math.
