#bengalclassicalmusicfestival Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan is a legendary sitarist and the torch-bearer of the Imdadkhani Gharana, also known as Etawah Gharana of Indian classical music. His style successfully combines tantrakari and gayaki angas, both being striking features of the Etawah Gharana. In the maiden Bengal Classical Music Festival 2012, Dhaka, Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan performed Raag Bageshree and captivated the audience with fine bol vistar and taankari and melodious jod and jhala. Apt table accompaniment by Pt Yogesh Samsi added much depth to the performance.
