H-IIA F32 launches Kirameki-2 satellite (DSN-2)

H-IIA Launch Vehicle No. 32 (H2A 204) launched the X-band defense communication satellite-2 Kirameki-2 (DSN-2) from the Yoshinobu Launch Complex, Tanegashima, Japan, on 24 January 2017, at 07:44 UTC (16:44 JST). DSN-2 is built and operated by DSN Corporation, subsidiary of SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation, as part of development and operation of X-band satellite communications for the Japanese Ministry of Defense. According to JAXA, “The launch and the separation of the satellite proceeded according to schedule
