Bharatanatyam Namaskar

A Bharatanatyam dancer starts and ends every session of dancing with Namaskaram (obeisance). The dancer pays respect to God (Nataraja), Teacher (Guru) and Audience. She touches Mother Earth and asks her permission to stamp on her during the dance.
