An unauthorised opposition rally dubbed the ‘Women’s March’ takes place in Minsk on Saturday, September 19. The participants demand the president’s resignation and the release of arrested protesters and political prisoners. Belarus has been swept by anti-government protests following the disputed presidential election that saw long-time leader Alexander Lukashenko re-elected for a sixth term.
