FlyHawk SBD-3 DAUNTLESS (Battle of Midway) | 1/72 scale | Build, Paint & Weather | US Navy
FlyHawk’s SBD-3 Dauntless in 1/72 scale is a great kit with lots of detail and a very good fit. The aircraft can be built with the landing gear and flaps extended or retracted.
The building instructions are in color, canopy masks are included. The decal sheet provides ample opportunity for one of the famous or not so famous aircraft from the Battle of Midway in June 1942.
My choice fell on the SBD-3 from Lt. Richard H. Best (VB-6 | USS Enterprise).
To create a typical Dauntless diving scene I used a 3d printed stand, acrylic rod and resin figures from PJ Production.
I had a lot of fun building it and can absolutely recommend the kit.
Enjoy the build, paint and weathering process and please let me know what you like or ScalerDan
