Please, if you haven’t already, go and subscribe to his channel as this is an absolutely insane verification to follow. Best of luck! Grief is so insanely hard. Initially, I was going to make a video playing the level but it was so impossible to play in practice that I decided you guys wouldn’t want to watch me cheesing gaps in practice mode for half an hour. So here’s a showcase instead. This is a lot harder than the original showcase version (I have both versions), Doggie has buffed a LOT of the gaps, especially at the predrop waves. The level is even harder now. Of course, these buffs are subject to change (as it is with any verification), so please don’t expect this showcase to be of the exact final version if and when it is verified. The decoration is perfect for a hell level, this really feels like an improvement on everything icedcave has accomplished in the past, and joined by a team of talented creators, you get a masterpiece like this. I really cannot fault the decoration. The atmosphere is held perfectly with the combination of this decoration and the music (stalemate), it creates a very intimidating vibe that I feel is right at home in a top 1. This feels like something to be afraid of, unlike other levels. The gameplay makes sense for a top 1 and works with the difficulty well. A lot of upcoming top 1 levels don’t have complexity like this which makes their difficulty feel more crude and forced. Grief really doesn’t have a problem with this as the click patterns are complex and varied (besides some spam segments, but those are a tribute to the original slaughterhouse so I can let it slide) This is definitely one of my favorite levels of all time, I might make a video playing it in the future (probably after verification) when I’m not so bad at the game.
